We provide opportunities to dance students to perform to build their confidence, increase their skills and share their development and achievement with wider community.
PAST PERFORMANCES
A Research & Development Project, ‘I saw a god dance’
A research on dancer Ram Gopal’s life was followed by a series of workshop exploring a performance narrative leading to a week long session of all artists coming together at the Stanley Arts to share the dance drama performance followed by the Q & A. We intent to develop this work to produce a full scale dance drama next year.
BIG DANCE – 2006-2016
Big Dance is a dance initiative that happened every 2 years starting in 2006 and ending in 2016 at Trafalgar square. Apsara dancers performed in the mass choreography at all the events organised by the Mayor of London. They learnt different dance styles under renowned choreographers – Akram Khan, Wayne Mcgregor, Jeanefer Jean-Charles, Hakeem Onibudo and many more. They also performed dances choreographed by Malti Patel at all the at the BIG Dance Bus events.

EARTH WIND & SHIVA – INTERNATIONAL PROJECT
The contemporised dance production was created and choreographed by Malti Patel. The dance explored the Indian mythology on the concept of the beginning and end. The dance production toured at venues in Athens (Greece) and London.
FAIRFIELD HALL, CROYDON (2001-2016)
Spectacular themed annual dance productions with over 100 processional Dancers and students with live orchestra, multi media and amazing stage settings conceived and created by Malti Patel.

OTHER PERFORMANCES
APSARA dancer had performed and made it to the finale for the Channel 4 ‘Bollywood star’ series. Our dancers have also performed Trafalgar Square, Globe theatre, Bafta, Coin Street festival, London Potters field, South Bank Scoop, Olympia, Waterman’s theatre, Croydon Clocktower, Hackney Empire, Sadlers Wells theatre, Bull Theatre, Fairfield Halls, Croydon, Sutton, Bromley & Elephant & Castle Shopping centres & libraries, Music Videos, Local Dramas and many Mela festivals.
